When Hutch appears he will no doubt add a reply here lol like "told you so" our PC expert "Hutch" has been telling me for years to back up my system well after many a long night trying to keep an unstable system runnung i invested in a Maxtor 320 G external hard drive.
So it is now this easy i made a back-up of my system, formatted the disk and loaded windows and i had all my photos, docs, music the lot.

Now my system runs smoothhhh

Cheers
David

LOL Told You So ner ner ner ner ner.

Yes the fate of losing files, and personal data on your pc can very painful. I use Seagates back up utility MaxBlast5. You need to have a seagate or maxtor HDD in your system to use it for free. It has saved my but many times. Not just from data loss. But also from having to re-install my whole operating system from scratch. Nothing worse than having re-install eveything that can hours of labour, or having to ring microsoft to re-activate your software.

A lesson well learn't mate.  Wink
